These mugs are crafted from a hand-selected blend of Australian commercial and wild stoneware clays, finished with a striking carbon-trapping Shino glaze. The glaze’s deep, fiery red hue is attributed to the inclusion of red earthenware clay sourced from Victoria’s Surf Coast. Fired in a gas kiln at 1300°C under a reduction atmosphere, each piece is unique, with the flame's passage through the kiln creating distinct colouration and variation.
